Symphony of Science
I heard this on Jarvis Cocker's radio show on the tragically-soon-to-be-no-more 6Music.
"If you wish to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the universe."
Is this not one of the most glorious things you've ever seen? A good poem functions sometimes in the same way as physics wishes the universe does: central, unlocking concepts all errupting from the central point of metaphor or conceit.
